When it comes to high-speed production and ease of operation, Mitsubishi’s customer-proven double chopper folder stands head and shoulders above the competition.
The system incorporates a three-around folding cylinder and three-around jaw cylinders. For digest-folded signatures, there's also the option of a second jaw cylinder with three sets of movable jaw box assemblies and one slow-down delivery cylinder.
To ensure fast, efficient makeready, all lap adjustments are motorized on-the-run. In addition, changeover time is significantly reduced thanks to open-faced cams. To further trim setup time, the folder can be equipped for fully automate push-button conversion from tabloid, magazine and digest-fold formats. A stream integrator also can be provided to maintain all product deliveries to a single point.
